Candy Cane Christmas

Red and white stripes adorned the walls, tables, decorations--even the dessert--in honor of the Candy Cane Christmas party at Pacific Springs Village. Those who've been naughty and nice throughout the year were on hand as Santa and Mrs. Claus handed out presents for everyone to enjoy. There was delicious food and musical entertainment provided by a resident and his family. The event is an opportunity for staff to say thanks and Merry Christmas to those they serve all year.

Keep the Spirit of '45 Alive

Hundreds came out to Pacific Springs Village on August 14, 2010 to honor World War II veterans and pay tribute to their legacy at the “Keep the Spirit of ’45 Alive” party. The day included food, entertainment by the AVI8ORS and World War II memorabilia including a fully restored WWII military jeep. The Immanuel Community compiled a collection of stories by residents on their thoughts and feelings regarding the day the war ended 65 years ago.

The event was among hundreds across the country to give honor to the men and women who fought in the war and to continue the legacy of August 14, 1945.

Pacific Springs Village residents Jilda Urbani and Muriel Alexander are keeping the spirit of '45 alive.

Rudy's Message: Don't Stop Dreaming

Immanuel Communities rolled out the red carpet for Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, who took the stage recently at Trinity Family Life Center to share his inspirational message of overcoming obstacles, hurdles and setbacks to realize a dream of playing college football for Notre Dame. His story inspired the hit movie that bears his name and gave residents and staff the inspiration to dream dreams.

Pig Roast

Pacific Springs Village transformed into an island oasis to thank residents for their continued support of the community. More than 300 family and friends turned out for the celebration, complete with a roasted pig, plenty of side dishes and live music. For some, the day even turned out to be a surprise family reunion.
