Fancy Christmas

A five course meal, visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus along with harp music provided by one of our own were just a few of the memories residents could cherish during a Christmas party at Lakeside Village.

Hawaiian Luau

Steel drums provided the perfect background music to transform Immanuel Village into an island oasis. The Hawaiian Luau gave residents the opportunity to wear flowered shirts and leis while sipping on tropical drinks and enjoying mouth-watering island food. Aloha!

Lakeside Village residents are “Living Life” as part of National Assisted Living Week September 12-18. Started in 1995, the week is a celebration of the accomplishments and contributions of assisted living residents across the nation. Lakeside kicked off the week with a County Fair on Sunday in honor of Grandparent's Day and included all of the traditional food, fun and games. The community also hosted a Rain Gutter Regatta, the Lakeside Derby, massages, a wine and cheese social along with special meals which residents provided the recipes. The amount of activities planned illustrates that you don’t have to be a rock climber or a marathon runner to live life to its fullest.

Senior Health & Fitness Day

Lakeside Village, an Immanuel community, has a message for seniors: you're never too old to start an exercise program. That was the message at the Senior Health and Fitness Day. More than 300 people were on hand to talk to experts on the benefits of diet and exercise at any age. And one resident takes that advice to heart.

Rudy's Message: Don't Stop Dreaming

Immanuel Communities rolled out the red carpet for Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, who took the stage recently at Trinity Family Life Center to share his inspirational message of overcoming obstacles, hurdles and setbacks to realize a dream of playing college football for Notre Dame. His story inspired the hit movie that bears his name and gave residents and staff the inspiration to dream dreams.

Hawaiian Luau

Lakeside Village melts away winter blues by turning up the thermostat and hosting a Hawaiian Luau. Residents and guests dress in grass skirts and flower leis and relax in a tropical paradise while sipping on Pina Coladas and listening to the sounds of a Ukulele band. Along with dancing the hula, they also enjoy a Polynesian buffet featuring food from the islands. Aloha.
